Students must meet the following requirements:

1. Mandatory Requirements:

• Students must select at least one coding course from each subject area.

2. Multiple Course Options:

• When interested in multiple coding courses within the same subject:

  • Designate one as your primary course (will appear on RC-Level Qualification)

  • Additional courses may be taken as honors courses

3. Transcript Policy:

• Honors courses will:

  • Not be displayed on the main RC-Level Qualification certificate

  • Be listed in a dedicated Honors Appendix on the document's back page

The IAS-IEAB has implemented a course book list system (rather than standardized textbooks) for the RC-Level Qualification. This intentional design:

1. Develops Critical Academic Skills:

• Cultivates advanced information retrieval capabilities

• Enhances source evaluation and synthesis skills

• Promotes independent research methodologies

2. Pedagogical Rationale:

• Encourages engagement with multiple academic perspectives

• Develops discernment in selecting quality reference materials

• Prepares students for university-level research expectations

3. Implementation:

• Curated book lists will be provided for each course

• Lists will include primary sources, scholarly works, and contemporary references

• Digital and physical resource options will be accommodated

It takes 4 year to complete the RC-Level Qualification

The IAS-IEAB employs a dual-assessment system for the Rigorous-Comprehensive Level Qualification:

1. External Assessment

• IAS-IEAB RC-Level Qualification Global Examination:

  • Primary scoring component for final certification

  • Standardized testing administered worldwide

2. Internal Assessment (Mandatory Non-Scoring Component)

• Submission-based evaluations conducted by IAS-IEAB Global Internal Assessment Team

• Serves as a qualifying requirement (qualified/unqualified only)

• Features a global ranking system:

  • Students ranked in the bottom 30% globally will not meet certification requirements

  • Performance benchmarks are recalibrated annually based on cohort performance

Class Hour Requirements:

• Each code course (regardless of major or honors): At least 563 hours of study duration

• Extended Writing (EW): At least 50 hours

• Comprehensive Experiment Report (CEP): At least 100 hours.

• Personal Speech (PS): At least 50 hours

• Community Service (CS): At least 100 hours

• Comprehensive Writing of Humanities Subjects (CWoHS): At least 50 hours

• Art Portfolio (AP): At least 150 hours

Internal Assessment Requirements:

Submit the following materials and pass the internal assessment：

• Extended Writing (EW)

• Comprehensive Experiment Report (CEP) 

• Personal Speech (PS)

• Community Service (CS)

• Comprehensive Writing of Humanities Subjects (CWoHS)

• Art Portfolio (AP)

External Assessment Requirements:

Candidates must successfully complete the Global Official RC-Level Qualification Examination, achieving a minimum score of 21 marks out of the total 36. According to IAS-IEAB standards, scores below this threshold indicate insufficient academic proficiency for qualification. Consequently, examinees scoring less than 21 marks will be deemed ineligible for RC-Level Certification.
